The quality is excellent, I have used these for 20 years of more. The plastic covers are highly useful, but if you plan to heat tomato sauce in the micowave, the underneath of the tops will get stained very quickly, so put a piece of wax paper under the top or use plastic wrap. The dark blue and red covers do better than the lighter torquoise blue covers I bought recently. The red may show stains the least with tomato sauce, but the storage containers with the blue covers cost less. Individual replacement covers can be purchased on this site also.

We ordered a number of 1-cup and 2-cup PYREX storage dishes to replace our collection of old plastic stained storage containers. These containers work great for taking those extra servings from your favorite recipes and saving for a later date. Thinking we may need something larger, we ordered a few PYREX® 4-cup Storage Dishes. This is the perfect size for storing a meal for two whether it is rice, soup or a larger portion of a leftover from dinner - simply cover with the blue (BPA free) plastic lid and place into the fridge or freezer. This larger thick glass dish can be easily taken from the freezer (pop the lid) and placed into the microwave and heated until ready to eat – no need to defrost and put in another container. Both the lid and the 4-cup dish are dishwasher safe (lid on top rack), so cleanup is a breeze.

The 4 cup storage container with cover is an excellent size for smaller leftovers and the cover fits securely and it is so much nicer than plastic and they stack together nicely if you need to save space.

It gets clean as new by simply washing with soapy warm water. Unlike plastic containers, it does not leave smell or color of food that has been stored.

This bowl is perfect for storing smaller amounts of leftovers with a lid that seals tight and keeps things from spilling all over the frig. Plus, Pyrex can go directly into the microwave for quick reheating and it's dishwasher safe. You just can't beat it!
