It is wonderful to have a casserole dish that I can use to take to people who need a meal. I like being able to cover the dish and put it into the refrigerator or simply to carry it to someone - or just to put it into the freezer without having to use aluminum foil that doesn't cover as tightly as the lid does. This is a great product.

As part of our effort to do less harm to the environment and to save money in the long term, we are trying to increase our supply of durable goods and decrease our use of all disposable products. Pyrex was one of our choices for this effort. I still have Pyrex pieces in daily use that came from my Grandmother's kitchen, so I already knew that Pyrex lasts.
Here is what we learned from our new purchases:
Not only is Pyrex perfect for cooking and baking (all Pyrex sizes are useful for cooking a variety of foods---from small garlic bulbs to large casseroles--you can really fill an oven with a variety of dishes), it is a money-saver when storing leftovers.

After purchasing several Pyrex sets and individual pieces, we stopped using most kitchen disposable wraps and plastics, and we are actually using more of our leftover food than we did before we started using the Pyrex. The Pyrex pieces with plastic lids (all top rack dishwasher safe) stack in the refrigerator, so we can store more in smaller spaces--my fridge looks great! Also, since the dishes are clear, we see the leftovers more easily. Rather than forgetting leftovers on a back shelf only to re-discover them when we are throwing everything out after it has spoiled, we actually end up using them--this means less cooking of side dishes, less time in the kitchen, less waste!
We have given several sets as gifts--with all positive feedback. Also, I made a few customer service calls with questions and a few minor problems and I have NEVER worked with a more responsive and helpful company--NEVER!--and I shop online more than I shop in stores.
My only negative comment about ANY of the Pyrex is that I do not recommend the pieces that have LARGE handles. They do not store as well in our cabinets and I am more likely to break the handles.

We're very pleased with these containers. We needed something glass to store food and these do the trick for not a ton of money.

We bought these 11 cup Pyrex containers to use for freezer storage, but also find ourselves using them as baking dishes, bringing foods to pot lucks, and left overs! We bought 6 originally, and just recently purchased 4 more. LOVE them!

The 11-cup storage dish with lid is the perfect size to keep holiday goodies fresh. This is also a good size to bake a small sheet cake in. I make two and stick one in the freezer.
