Because I had corningware and had it for many years using it for our everyday dishes I wanted more, I just wanted a different pattern, shape and color so I purchased 1 service for four receiving two more services for Xmas of the plain white square pattern consisting of the square dinner plate,the square luncheon plate, the square 22" soup/cereal bowl and a nice sized mug, filling in with the white pasta bowls, the 28" bowls perfect for a nice bowl of soup or chili, the small fruit/dessert bowls and square bread and butter plates I also purchased a large serving bowl and still need the creamer and sugar bowl, the salt and pepper and the butter dish plus a platter. Then my service for 12 will be complete and should last for another 20 or so years until I want a different color and shape again. Because I purchased the plain white dishes I can accent them with holiday pieces for Xmas as well. Perfect!
I donated my service for 12 in the old pattern. Only a couple of pieces had chips in them, otherwise they were like new. I need to tell you that I use all of the different pieces depending on the meal or occassion so I had to have it all again. It is a great weight as well. I love it. That pretty much says everything about Corelle!

I purchased these bowls to build up my set since the original comes with the smaller ones that are a little inconvenient due to their size. I love the fact that they're unbreakable of course, comes handy when having 4 kids. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because on the outside bottom of the bowls there are little bumps almost dirt like and as much as I've tried getting rid of them by hand washing them they're not going anywhere. I don't mind that gritty feel since they're our every day dishes and we give them a beating. Overall I am content with the product.

These bowls are a perfect size -- nice and deep which keeps hot soup hotter, longer. Only downside is that my grown children have asked for them and my supply has dwindled! Have sent them as presents and they are appreciated. Corelle takes up so little space and is lightweight and practically unbreakable. I have had some pieces for at least 30 years and they do not have a chip or scratch on them! Wonderful quality.

It took me 60 years to recognize nothing beats Corelle. Your basic Winter Frost Corelle ware has the following outstanding qualities...
1) It's light...I can't believe the heavy dishes out there!
2) It's porcellin and so easy to clean!
3) It's inert and you don't have to worry about chemicals
4) It fits in the dishwasher easily without any issues
5) It's nearly unbreakable.
6) It's last a lifetime.

I like these because they take up very little space, but hold a lot of food/soup. They nest well and fit well into the dishwasher. All in all a high utility design. You have to be a little careful picking them up when heavy with food. The straight sides mean you have to get a good grip.

I've had one of these bowls for a few years now. It's the perfect bowl for fitting a full meal. One bowl just wasn't enough, though -- I was using it and washing it constantly -- so I ordered up 6 more.
The bowls arrived extremely well packed... almost too much heavy-duty bubble wrap. They were exactly the same as the one I already had.

Have had two of these bowls for over 6 years and love them so much that we decided to replace all our bowls in this size range with these. The size, with the lids and the ability to use from the fridge to the microwave make them extremely useful. And the fact that the white stays white without bleaching or other extremes is a great plus.

Love these bowls for my kids, whether we're eating ice cream, soup, or oatmeal. Great size for their cereal too. We've even had a few drop to the tiled floor and not a chip! Granted, we have lost one, but out of 5 or 6 dropped, that's not bad. :) These are resilient!

I love the size of this bowl, but it doesn't fit well in the dishwasher or in the cupboard. I guess if the edges were a little more curved instead of straight, it would be better.

These bowls are great for salads and gazpacho (although way too large for cereal or pasta unless you're trying to gain weight fast). Nothing falls out! They do take up much more space than other Corelle dishes--a stack of 20 plates is shorter than 4 of these bowls together.

These bowls deliver the great Corelle virtues - toughness, light weight, crisp appearance, ease of cleaning - in a unique size. Beside using them for soup they are just right for our usual two person serving bowl function, helping us to eat smart.

After going through several rounds of bowls that chipped quite easily, my husband & I were ready for light, DURABLE bowls that would last. My mom recommended Corelle, and we LOVE these bowls. We use them daily for cereal, soup, desserts, & re-heating left-overs. While they are generous in size, they take up very little cupboard space - and they seem impossible to break or chip. PLUS they're dishwasher/microwave safe! Can't say enough about these bowls!

I purchased a set of these along with a set of Winter Frost White dinnerware. I was glad I purchased these bowls because they are nice and big / deep, whereas the ones that come with the dinnerware set are kind of small and shallow.
These are a nice sized bowl and can double as a serving bowl they are so big.

My teen children kept "stealing" my mixing bowls and large measuring cups to eat cereal out of and i never had them when i needed them. We got these this week and I now have my mixing bowls back!!! if you have 3 or more teen age children i would recommend getting at least 20 of these or you will be washing them all day.

Almost passed these up, as the 18 oz. Corelle bowls we already had are are so useful. But these 28oz deeper bowls added a size, shape better for bulkier cold cereal+fruit, meal-sized bowls of soup, etc.. We wind up using both sizes almost every day.
