I recently borrowed a glass bowl from a friend and accidentally broke it. When I saw this sculptured mixing bowl on your website, I knew it would be a great substitute for the broken bowl so I ordered 2--one for my friend and one for me. We both love the size and weight of the bowl. We will use it often.

Very nice looking bowl, Good price online, lighter than other 4qt mixing bowl, looks smaller but is not however do not like the white cover prefer a different color and it is not as sturdy as other Pyrex covers, also cover is too expensive.
I give 4 stars because of cover.

I've been looking for a huge glass bowl for my dogs water. The size of this is perfect. I was having a problem finding a bowl that wasn't in with a set of other sizes I didn't need. So glad I bought 2!

I use this bowl for my layered salad for holidays and special occasions (among other things). It's a great size and beautiful too. The 4 1/2 qt lid fits perfectly and makes it easy to take my salads with me to parties and not have to worry about plastic wrap or foil. My mother has the same bowl. It's so great, we've been sharing it. Now I have my own. Yeah!

Good time for a review. I just mixed up two pkgs. of Betty C. Peanut Butter cookies. The sculptered bowl was easy to hold onto, no slipping. I never realized a good bowl could make such a difference. It spurred me on; I also tried the receipe from the pkg. by adding rolling the unbaked cookie in sugar and then pushing a milk chocolate kiss in the center of I 1/2 of the newly baked cookies. Yum Yum!

We purchased one of these bowls many years ago and had wanted another one. We were so glad to finally find another one or two! We plan on keeping an extra one on hand, and giving one to our youngest daughter. We have a family tradition of making Chex mix in this bowl.

I use this bowl regularly for large quantities of salads (fruit, slaw, pasta, grain ...). Just one bowl for preparing and storing enough so that anyone in the household can scoop out a meal upon arriving home after summertime fun. Be sure to purchase the plastic lid (PYREX® White 4-1/2-qt Plastic Cover; SKU 7301157) with it. I also use it as a basic mixing bowl, and it may work well for bread dough too.
And it's durable. I have dropped the bowl more than once -- no damage at all! It's destined to become a family heirloom!
I bought a second one in July 2011 (40% off sale) so I could have both a fruit and vegetable/grain salad ready and waiting in the refrigerator.

I had this big sculptured bowl before (15 years ago), but my husband broke it. I tried to replace it but I couldn't find anywhere. Finally, after several years, I found at World Kitchen. I was very happy and ordered it right away. The only thing that I don't like very much is the color: it's clear blue. It won't match with my other sculptured mixing bowl set. I don't want to mix and match stuffs in my kitchen. However, at least I have again my salad and mixing bowl - great size!
