I assumed these would be made of GLASS, not acrylic. I kept them anyway.

Only these are not glass but acrylic, I don't recall seeing that in the ad

However eye-catching this looks in picture offered online - the description/label is very misleading. I was expecting "glass" not acrylic (the word does however appear at the bottom of the description page). The acrylic product is in no way what anyone over 50 would use to set an elegant table . This is the only product from Corelle that I have ever been truly disappointed with.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
