This dish is the perfect size for two to three servings. It is very decorative and goes with any set of dishes. It is easy to clean when used for casseroles.

I actually only needed a lid for a 1.6 liter dish I had - couldn't find that size so ordered the 1.5 liter dish instead. I was surprised to see that they couldn't be used in toaster ovens - never knew that - I used my old one in my toaster oven. So as a result I have not actually used my new on yet.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was trying to replace the small round casserole that had been part of a larger set. It was difficult to find this single piece in stores, so I was glad to find it available on line. It is exactly the piece I wanted. The size is perfect for our family of four.

This casserole, with its glass cover, is easy to clean, versatile, & lightweight. In addition, I bought the plastic lid to the casserole. This dish goes easily from fridge to microwave or oven, & back again. It can hold everything from soup to a small roast.

My daughter wanted to take my French white round casserole to college with her. Being able to purchase a near duplicate (mine is 1.6L, hers is 1.5 qt) saved both of us a lot of irritation. This item is core cookware at our house.

We've had one of these for a long time, and it has delivered. A dog hit an arm that was holding the pot, and so it goes (or went). But the product is so good that we reordered with no regrets.
