Sounds a bit dramatic, but honestly that "read from above" is really cool. No longer do i have to stoop down or stop filling to know how close I am to the amount I want.
Also, I was tired of using pitted and delaminating plastic cups. Now i am sure my measuring cup is clean and i am building muscles as i use it thanks to Pyrex.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love this item, easy to see and measure, heavy and durable. Four cup was not big enough, so I also purchases the eight cup.

I actually bought this as I have two thirsty hummingbirds that feed all day long. I just pour in 32oz of boiled water, add my sugar, jar it and place in the refrigerator. That way I have several weeks supply of feeder for them ready to go.
The cup is so easy to read as, cleverly, they put the measurements on the cup's inside. It's also very sturdy and easy to handle for its size.
I find I'm using it for all my measurements now!

The new shape and lettering make it much easier to read the measurements. You can leave it setting on the counter while filling it and still see when to stop. Took a little getting used to the norrow bottom but works great. A very nice improvement to something we use every day. Thanks Pyrex!

I love the "read from Above Graphics". No more having to bend down and read it from the side on the counter top. Now all I have to do is just pour liquid in to the amount I want and it is perfectly measured. I also like the fact that it is large. Larger than most 4 cup measures. I can mix different things up in it and also cook in the micorwave with it. What a great idea and it feels so much more stable and heftier. So happy that I purchased this item.
