The silicone grip on the bottom keeps the measuring cup from sliding around. The lid fits great and is dishwasher safe. I am still getting used to the Read from Above Graphics, but it's no worse than standing sideways to be level with the measuring cup! :)

To be able to be read from above, the sides flair out on this measuring cup, making it HUGE and hard to store. That, to me, outweighs the convenience of seeing from above. So, I rate this one an "eh" on the scale from "yuck" to "oooo!".
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
